XLPE Armoured & Unarmoured Cable
OCI Low Tension (LT) cables with XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) insulation are crafted for reliable power transmission and distribution up to 1.1 kV. Designed to meet the demands of residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, these cables combine strength, safety, and durability. The advanced XLPE insulation provides superior thermal stability, electrical performance, and resistance to harsh environments, making OCI cables a trusted choice for modern infrastructure.
Construction
Conductor:
- High conductivity annealed copper or aluminum conductor
- Solid, stranded, or flexible construction
- As per IS 8130 / IEC 60228 (Class 1/2/5)
Insulation:
- XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) insulation
- Provides excellent electrical and thermal performance
- Colour coded for easy identification
Inner Sheath (for multi-core cables):
- Extruded PVC or LSZH compound
- Ensures smooth bedding over insulated conductors
Armour (optional):
- Galvanized Steel Strip (for smaller sizes) or
- Galvanized Steel Wire (for larger sizes)
- Provides mechanical protection for underground or outdoor applications
Outer Sheath:
- PVC / HDPE / LSZH compound
- Resistant to abrasion, moisture, oils, and chemicals
- Black as standard, other colors on request
